It’s a rainy day here in Taipei, and I’m at a surf-themed cafe where driftwood serves as my desk. I’m writing to you from my laptop, sipping a pineapple smoothie as the sky drops buckets on people running past the window.
I love writing in coffeeshops: I find the light noise and people watching keeps me focused and creative.
What’s your ideal writing environment? A quiet office with a cozy chair? Or a cafe with good coffee and lots of windows? Would love to hear what inspires you to do your best work.
I prefer being at the laptop in the office with classical or similar wordless, light music in the background. I think I'll try Gregorian chants this weekend.
I'm exploring this right now. Usually it's me in my room with some meditative music. I generally gravitate towards quiet silent spaces. I've been going to the local library more- I'm wanting to find new spaces that is cozy, warm, has wifi and a food/drink bar.
Looking to find some cool café spaces as I explore my writing further and what inspires me this summer.

Can’t go wrong with some Gregorian chants!
As a fellow nomad, I also like coffeeshops for the same reason as well as local libraries.
Local libraries will always be magic!

That sounds great. I love the idea of altering your writing spot based on seasons!
