Schedule Preference: Comfortable hitting Sun-Thurs Pacific Time deadlines
✍️ Make Writing Your Job is looking for a Freelance Newsletter Editor to join our editorial team and help keep our Substack running smoothly for a community of 30,000+ writers.
This role focuses on editing and scheduling emails to support our growing community.
What you’ll do:
Your deliverables of our daily newsletter(s) are due by fixed publication deadlines (Sunday–Thursday evenings, Pacific Time) but you’ll retain control over how and when work is performed to meet deadlines
Schedule job board emails and upcoming job posts
Help coordinate and schedule GuestStack features and editorial series
Work on a project basis to keep content organized, timely, and on-brand
What we’re looking for:
Familiarity with Make Writing Your Job, its voice, and its community
Experience with newsletters, Substack, or digital publishing workflows
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working asynchronously and independently
Based in Pacific Time or able to hit Pacific Time deadlines Sun-Thurs
Role details:
Fully remote, freelance, and asynchronous
Work is done on your own schedule, with deliverable deadlines 5 days/week
