🫖 Spilling the Sunday Tea: Hello from Paris & You’re Reading a Substack Bestseller!
Hey writers! 👋 I’m writing this letter to you from a very rainy Paris, France, and happy to be in the company of a culture that loves bread and cheese as much as I do. 🥐
Yesterday I woke up to a notification that this publication, From The Desk of Amy Suto, is officially a Substack Bestseller! Thank you for supporting my work here — it means the world.
You may have noticed things are changing around here a bit when it comes to the format of my posts, but as always my Sunday newsletter remains free for all subscribers.
However, my writing job board, full archive access, and exclusive posts remain for paid subscribers only — your support helps me dedicate more of my time to building writing resources and curating awesome jobs for you.
The cost of a subscription is just $1.53/week if you subscribe to my annual plan:
✍️ New Writing Job Board Comes Out Tomorrow!

📚 Free Class on Memoir Ghostwriting
I had a great time talking about all things memoir ghostwriting with legendary memoir teacher Marion Roach Smith as a part of her series “Let Me Introduce You.”
If you’re curious about…
What does a memoir ghostwriter do?
How can I work as a memoir ghostwriter and get flown out to cool places and tell my clients’ stories?
What do I need to do to become a memoir ghostwriter?
Then you should check out the free class below:
❌ PSA: Turn Off AI Training on Your Substack
If you’re writing on Substack (and if you’re a writer: you should be) then make sure you turn off the “Allow AI Training” feature in your settings.
This is turned on by default, and I recommend you turn it off if you don’t want to allow AI models to train on your content 😊

📸 Photo of the Week: Brunch in Paris
When in Paris, the law states that your brunch must contain a croissant. My golden turmeric latte was pretty great, too.
