Estimated rate: $1,500–$3,500 depending on experience and turnaround

We’re looking for a sharp, thorough proofreader to do one final pass on a thrilling romance novel based on a true story — and yes, it’s as good as it sounds.

The book follows a military wife who also happens to be a forensic archaeologist. Think: international intrigue, heartwarming romance, unexpected twists, and smart, funny prose that will keep readers hooked all the way through. The manuscript has already gone through two rounds of dev't editing and two rounds of line editing and proofreading already — it’s clean, but we want immaculate.

• Timeline: Ideal candidate is available to begin ASAP

• Scope: Final proofread only — should be light touch, but eagle-eyed
