Role: Book Editor(s) for an active-duty non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force who is working on their memoir.
Details from client: “1) Line Editor for amending some (not all) of the glaring names and places that my book mentions in the story 2) Developmental Editor-- from a feedback standpoint of how the story flows and any constructive changes 3) Proofreading-- final proofreading for any legal challenges I may face since the book does pertain to real-life handwritten accounts of real events that took place in June 2017 in my life that pertains to actual real-life people. Basically, to ask the question of, "How can I publish this story without legal repercussions (suits, etc.) or making it outing for the characters in the book to know I`m talking about them-- all while preserving the source material”
