That view is gorgeous. I could see myself writing in a space like that.
I'm a big fan of bright natural light coming through a big window (unless I'm already seated outdoors), ambient noise, inspiring view of nature (water and/or trees), and cool-ish temperature (nice breeze outside or A/C if I'm indoors).
Great piece on environment and creativity... I 100% agree. I'm most productive in the early morning (@5:00) working in my office. It overlooks the street, allowing me to have a little bit of distraction/entertainment like watching the paper get delivered and neighbors leave for work - I'm easily entertained. :) Later in the day, I like to be in a coffee shop - but it has to have the right vibe and definitely has to have a bar with stand up desk options. Bonus points if that coffee shop is actually a cafe in Spain, my favorite writing place :)
Formentera is amazing, but I also love Madrid (Malasaña or Chueca neighborhood cafes) and Barcelona. Plus, Zamora is an undiscovered treasure. :)
